We bought two of these last year and took them camping with us.

We never got a chance to use this one due to bad weather.

Kids had a great time playing in the other but as they have grown up alot in the last year they aren’t as interested any more

It comes boxed with it’s own waterproof carry bag and a pair of oars which can be joined together to make a double-ended paddle

Hi for sale is my inflatable ranger kayak, 

Great kayak in great condition,

I WILL POST IT ANYWARE IN THE UK,

The
Ranger KRC 79 is a very robust and versatile inflatable kayak. It can be used
for white water, coastal and river paddling and can be packed up like a cart
horse with all of your kayak accessories.

You
should not confuse this inflatable kayak with cheaper alternatives that you
will find in your local department store. It is made of heavy duty PVC and has
three separate air chambers allowing the kayak to remain afloat should one of
the chambers accidentally puncture. This inflatable kayak can be manually
pumped up in under five minutes.

In
order to provide extra protection to the inner chambers of the kayak it has a
polyester jacket which covers the sides and bottom which protects it from
puncturing. The polyester jacket hooks over the bow and stern and secures to
the sides of the kayak with Velcro patches.

The
polyester jacket is incredibly hard wearing and also quick drying. On the
bottom it has two rubber skegs about two feet long which runs parallel to each
other and help with the kayaks tracking.

On
both side chambers of the kayak are markers which indicate how much air
pressure is in each side tube allowing easy management of how much to pump the
kayak up according to weather conditions and to make sure both sides of the
kayak are evenly inflated.

At
the bow and stem are plastic straps which make transportation easy and
comfortable. At the bow of the kayak the canvas outer skin also has bungee
cords allowing easy storage for your kayak accessories.

The
ranger also comes with two kayak seats as this inflatable kayak is classed as a
two man boat.

The
kayak seats also have their own canvas covers and are secured using straps with
brass dog collar clips which attach to the four D-rings built into the
polyester cover.

The
kayak seats are extremely comfortable and can be sat on for as long as you can
paddle. Furthermore these kayak seats make great pillows if you are camping
overnight.

The
ranger comes in dark green which looks very stylish on the water. It is 325cm x
80cm approx and weighs 11.50kg.

Due
to the large sides of this inflatable kayak it is very stable in the water and
virtually impossible to tip unless you really are leaning over.

Together
with the bungee cords at the bow there is further space at the stern and inside
for more of your kayak accessories.

Deflating
and packing this inflatable kayak is also very quick and easy the boston valves
unscrew and let the air out in seconds and by pinching the valve in the floor
section deflates the floor. Then it is simply a matter of rolling it up much in
the same way you would roll up a rug and placing into its bag which compacts to
the same size as a bin liner.

For
people looking for a good all round inflatable kayak the sevylor ranger is an
excellent choice as it paddles well, can be stowed in a wardrobe, transported
easily in the back of a car, can accommodate all of your kayak accessories and
is virtually indestructible.

Walker Bay Airis Inflatable Kayak Play 9.5

 

My comments ~ Had this January 2011, as a replacement for my Sevylor which although good became heavy when wet, prior to that I had used a Bic Kayak & homemade glass fibre kayak, the change to inflatable was to allow it to go in the car with bikes on the roof.

The Airis is as rigid as any plastic / glass fibre craft (see photo 2) I saw this, and did it myself, at the NEC Caravan Show, that made my mind up. Very light and easy to carry, does all the “sales blurp” below says. If I could criticise one thing it would be that it’s hard work into a strong headwind mainly because it is so light. I have only used this about 10 times in France last Summer, in the sea close to the coast for trips of about 1 hour, and again once in September, in the sea again, locally.

So if it’s so good why am I selling it, many years ago I had an elbow problem after kayaking a local river, took months to resolve, no problems since but last Summer it became crippling again after Kayaking, had a course of injections which helped but then in September kayaking again just once started it off and I’m still suffering so no point in admiring the box, sad as it is it has to go.

 

It was always washed and dried in air after use and folded correctly into its “rucksack”.

It’s kept in the original box and has everything as when new, there are discolouration marks, from manufacture, on the front top of the hull, I complained at the time of purchase but was advised it would have no ill effect and it has not ~ both my wife and I will miss our sea fun with this, sad to see it go.

 

In addition to the Airis I’m including a Decathlon Buoyancy vest, new July 2011, and my old Kayak helmet ~ both adult sizes.

A nice Sevylor Pointer K2 Inflatable Kayak.

I have had the kayak for just over 2-years, used it no more than 10 times.

A great Kayak only reason for sale, i have moved onto a Canadian.

The Kayak is like new, it has never been damaged and the repair kit has never been used.

It comes with all the kit as new, 2 spray decks, carry bag, Fins, it can be used as a 1 or 2 person kayak and just open as well.

A great way of having a double kayak without the trouble of storeing or transport.

Can be set up from bag to water within 10mins. 

A new one is £400+ on e-bay, chance to grab a cheaper one, you will love it.
